Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

- How are classes delivered?
The classes are taught using pre-recorded videos. Your child joins the class using a computer to connect to the Internet from the comfort of your home. Your child consumes the content at a pace that meets the specific needs of your family schedule. The teacher may present material using the blackboard, a slide presentation, video demonstrations, and/or lectures. Your child can interact with the teacher and ask questions via email or using the "messages" service built into this web site. The length of the class is determined by the teacher. Most class videos are approximately one hour.

Students will also be assigned additional work such as reading from books and Internet resources that result in reports posted/uploaded back to this web site.

- What are the technical requirements to participate in a class as a student?
The basic requirements are to have a computer meeting the specifications listed for the class at registration along with a high-speed Internet connection. A headset with built-in microphone is optional.

- Can parents observe the classes?
YES! We encourage all parents to join the class and actually require parents to monitor children under 13 years of age.

- Do students have to be homeschooled to take a class?
No. We do target Christian homeschoolers, but classes are open to anyone. Christian homeschoolers will be very comfortable knowing they are in a class led by a teacher who shares their faith.
